Let's see what is in store for us in 2013. Hoping for the best I have wrapped it in gold.
I had a very hard time with some new paper I used for this drawing. Eventually wanting to draw on high quality paper, I bought some at the local art supplier. They refused to sell single sheets to try it out. Unfortunately it turned out to be slippery and grainy at the same time. While slipping off its awful surface, I couldn't get the drawing as smooth as I normally work. Well, I certainly won't take it again. Which leaves me with 99 pages of very expensive waste paper, unless I find some other purpose for it.
Wish you all a happy, healthy and eventful New Year.

IF- Layer II
This is my second entry for this week's topic. I just had to post it too because of the many layers a rose blossom consists of and also because of the almost endless layers in this drawing it took to create the desired effect of real petals and their velvety surface. It is also part of my Valentine's Day Postcard.

IF - layer
Reading this weeks topic 'layer' I immediately remembered a stay at the YMCA in Chicago early in the 90s. The basin we had in our room had a dripping faucet. It must have been dripping already for years because the porcelain of the basin was peeling off in layers. It was incredible. I never new that porcelain even could peel like that.

IF - dusty
As I have already mentioned in my previous post for this topic, this time it gave me so much inspiration that I could hardly decide which idea to realize. Well here is my second post because I simply couldn't get this image out of my head of a dusty robot with his left (red) eye dangling from the socket, standing in some forgotten corner of the attic.

IF - dusty
Reading this weeks topic 'dusty' so many different pictures came to my mind that at first I didn't know which option to draw. I finally decided for a completely dusty car that needed an urgent clean the message of which someone wrote into the dust.
